For the fifth time, the MBA has placed a young white shark on exhibit.
The new 5 feet 3-inch female was collected on Aug. 12 near Malibu after she got caught in fishing nets. The shark is eating and seems comfortable. She was moved Wednesday to the 1 million gallon outer bay exhibit where they hope to keep her for a couple months before releasing her.
The Monterey Bay Aquarium is still the only aquarium in the world ever to keep a young white shark for more than 16 days.
